SCORM Player Widget

The SCORM player widget allows you to embed SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model) package within a Frog site.

The aim of this guide is to introduce you to:

Technical information for the use of SCORM packages:

  • SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model) was introduced in 2000 and last updated was in 2004
  • Uploaded to the Frog platform should support as a minimum requirement "SCORM 2004"
  • Primarily Flash based, some browsers may not support the use of Flash. Therefore, you will find that the package will not play. Check the browser you are utilising supports Flash
  • Have a fixed width set, Frog cannot guarantee the visual display of the content on devices, especially those with a smaller screen such as mobile devices.
  • Has a maximum upload size of 1GB Frog platform. 

When you select, drag and drop the widget into a layout box. A default message will initially be displayed within the widget.
Select the widget in order to view the configuration settings available.

 

Note: SCORM packages can only be uploaded by the Frog administrator or a user with delegated permissions.
To add a SCORM package to your Frog site, select the FrogDrive button.

 

A popup window will open, displaying your FrogDrive. Go to SCORM packages within the window, select the SCORM package you wish to embed on your Frog site and select the Use button.

 

Advanced settings

Select the widget on your site to view additional configuration settings​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Settings include:

  • Embed in site
  • New window
  • ​​​​​​​Auto-launch package.

To display the SCORM package within your Frog site: 

  • Select Embed in site with the Auto-launch package option ticked
  • Select Save changes button at the top of the page.

To display the SCORM player widget with a launch package button:

  • Select Embed in site with the Auto-launch package option disabled
  • Select Save changes button at the top of the page
  • Select the Open button to display the associated SCORM package will have its content displayed within your site.

To display the SCORM package in a new window:

  • Select New window with the Auto-launch package option ticked
  • Select Save changes button at the top of the page
  • This will open a new window within the same browser session with the SCORM package that is selected.
