The Link to file widget provides a link to a file on the Frog platform that can be accessed by people viewing your site.
Link to File Widget
You may wish to include files within a Frog site or assignment. This can be achieved by adding a Link to file widget to a page. The Link to file widget provides a link to a file on the Frog platform that can be accessed by people viewing your site.
Any users that have view access to your Frog site will be able to use the Link to file widget to access the linked file.
In the Edit panel, you have the standard options to choose the file you wish to create a link to;
- Upload - To upload a file from your PC directly to your Frog site
- FrogDrive - Choose an existing file already located in the Documents section of your FrogDrive
- Site assets - Link to an existing file under the Site assets, which lists all the files already uploaded to the site
- Discover - Use the inbuilt discover search to locate images or videos for the Link to file widget to link to.
If the Force download check box is ticked, files will be downloaded to the user’s PC regardless of the file type.
