Link to Frog Site Widget

While you can make a Frog site into an assignment or share a Frog site with other users directly, you may wish to link to another Frog site from within your site or assignment.

The Link to Frog site widget allows you to place a link to another site within a page which viewers of your site can then use to access this site. You can link to any site on the Frog platform that is accessible to you.

​​​​​​​Note: that users will only be able to access and view those other Frog sites where they have access to that other site. A message will display to a user if they cannot access a site selected by using the Link to Frog site widget due to permissions.

Setting and options

To configure a Link to Frog site widget, drag and drop the widget into your page when editing a site. Select the widget and ensure the Widget settings tab is visible in the Edit panel.

To locate a specific Frog site, enter details into the Search field and select the Search icon.

This will return a list of results in the Sites section below to select from.

Alternatively, you can select from the list of all Frog sites accessible to you without using the search function.

The sites will be listed under the Sites section. Where the list contains more than one page of results, the Next and Back buttons can be used to browse the results.

Select a Frog site to embed a link to that site into your Link to Frog site widget. The widget will reflect this selection when being viewed in edit mode.

You can choose whether or not to display the site creator's details in the Link to Frog site widget by selecting the Show site creator option. Select Save changes and close the Edit panel.
