Conventions

Key to a professional looking Frog site and a polished digital experience is a consistent approach to the use of names and design across a site and your entire Frog environment.

An effective strategy is to determine a set of conventions that act much like a guide for style and purpose. These include, but are not limited to:

• Site icons - Each Frog site has the ability to upload a site icon. This can be done either during the initial creation process of building a site or from Site settings within the Edit panel. Use this feature so that users can quickly identify the audience and/or purpose of a site. Examples include consistent icons use for:
  • Learning area/subjects
  • Wellbeing spaces
  • Staff, student and/or parent users
  • ICT help.
• Themes - Each Frog site, it is possible to change the theme of that site. This can be done either during the initial creation process of building a site or from Site settings within the Edit panel. You can even have a bespoke theme created for your site, that captures the style and ethos of your preschool and/or school. Visit Frog help to learn more.
• Keywords & tags - You can add a tag or keyword to any Frog site and support navigation of your platform for users. There are two types, Tags & Keywords. ​​​​​​​ Tags allow the site to be located more easily in FrogDrive or through the Global search. To add a tag, select the primary category for your tag from the drop down menu. These include: Curricular Extra-curricular Pastoral. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Keywords are custom tags that can be added to your Frog site.
• Colours, fonts, headings - Another way to drive consistency across your Frog platform is to ensure users creating sites are deliberate in what colours, fonts and headings they choose.
