During Frog's recent visit to Australia, we met with more than 20 schools to better understand how they use the platform on a daily basis and gather feedback on potential improvements.
One of the key requests was to provide schools with greater control over the default recipients when creating announcements, particularly when communicating with parents and carers.
Based on this feedback, we have introduced a new Announcement Recipients system preference that allows schools to choose whether Parent/Carer Only is selected by default when creating an announcement for an EMS created group, such as a class or roll group.
By default, this new preference is set to OFF. Schools wishing to enable this option can do so by navigating to Profile Menu > System Preferences > Messages > Announcement Recipients and setting the toggle to ON.
In addition, we have updated the interface when creating new announcements and chats to make it clearer who the intended recipients will be.
